Kove UK on the Rise: Wilson Battles at the Sharp End in Teesside Round 2

Teesside Autodrome played host to Round 2 of the Nora Sport British Supermoto Championship (BSSC) this past weekend, and the Kove UK race team came away with a highly positive result that underlines the growing competitiveness of the Kove 450 Supermoto and young talent Blake Wilson in the series.

Friday’s dedicated practice day proved invaluable. The extra track time allowed the team to dial in the bike early, evaluate multiple tyre options, and make meaningful chassis and suspension adjustments that paid dividends throughout the weekend. The Kove machine felt planted and predictable from the first session, giving rider and crew the confidence to push hard in both dry and changing conditions.

One of the biggest takeaways came in the wet. For the first time the team was able to properly test the Kove Supermoto in genuine standing water and heavy rain. The bike’s balance, traction control response, and braking stability impressed immediately, delivering a level of rider confidence that bodes extremely well for future rounds where British weather can throw anything at the grid.

Saturday – British Championship • Race 1: 6th • Race 2: 7th • Race 3: 6th

These were the rider’s best British Championship results to date and marked a clear step forward in outright pace and consistency for the Kove UK machine.

Sunday – National Championship • Race 1: 7th • Race 2: 5th • Race 3: 8th

Sunday’s Race 2 was the highlight of the weekend. The Kove was right in the mix at the sharp end, battling hard for a podium position. The rider was challenging for 3rd place right up to the final corner of the last lap before a last-gasp move just slipped away. While the result was frustrating in the moment, the speed and racecraft on display showed that the Kove 450 Supermoto is now a genuine podium threat.

The entire Kove Moto UK team would like to thank every supporter who has followed the journey so far — whether through messages, shares, advice, or donations to the Pitstop Crew fund. A special mention also goes to the Blakes family, the full race crew, and every sponsor and partner whose continued belief makes this season possible.

The Kove UK Supermoto programme heads into the next round with renewed momentum, valuable data, and growing confidence in the bike’s performance potential.

On to Round 3, keep developing, working and focusing on performance.
